Through this original production, created by HQWS exclusively for Expo 2020 Dubai, our aim was to conceive and develop a fresh, original and truly world class stage show at the heart of a global celebration of Halloween.

 

A brand new and exciting show format which would delight, engage, and resonate with a multicultural audience of all demographics and ages, and involve and showcase homegrown performing arts talent.

 

‘A Musical Halloween’ brought a touch of Broadway magic to Expo 2020 Dubai, welcoming Halloween with a look back at some of stage and screen’s spookiest and most iconic soundtracks, spanning musical cultures, genres, and styles, both classic and current – from Phantom of the Opera and Thriller to Beetlejuice, Coco and Scooby Doo. This fantastically scripted and captivating production paid spectacular homage to the shows that bring the maleficent to the musical stage.

 

The 60-minute show was devised by award-winning international Theatre Director, Mitch Sebastian, with original musical arrangements by Grammy award winning composer Steve Sidwell, performed by an electrifying live on-stage band.
